Planned Giving

Foundations, businesses, and generous individuals who respond to Coastal Concerts’ annual fund-raising appeals provide a significant portion of the resources that make our programs possible.

Planned giving options are available for those who wish to make an enduring contribution that will benefit Coastal Concerts and its audiences over time. These methods may also be used by individuals who would like to make a significant gift but are constrained by near-term financial obligations for themselves or loved ones.

Coastal Concerts has an endowment fund at the Delaware Community Foundation (DCF), where professional staff members manage and invest funds. DCF personnel can assist donors considering current or legacy gifts to Coastal Concerts.

Donors may contribute directly to the Coastal Concerts Endowment Fund at DCF, where their funds will be invested and be available for future needs as determined by Coastal Concerts’ Board of Directors.

Alternatively, donors may create their own endowment fund at DCF and designate that annual distributions be made to Coastal Concerts for general operating needs or for a specific purpose, such as piano rentals, outreach programs, or scholarships.

For example, Coastal Concerts is the beneficiary of the Dorothy and Elizabeth Music Scholarship Fund, established with a $50,000 gift from a local couple to commemorate their mothers' influence on their appreciation of music. Annual distributions from this endowment pay for one of the scholarships that Coastal Concerts competitively awards each year to help talented junior and senior high school students continue their music education.

Donors also may include a bequest to Coastal Concerts in their wills. Consult your attorney and financial advisor about different forms of bequests and their tax implications.

For additional information about planned giving, contact Carol Dennis, Coastal Concerts' Executive Director, at (888) 212-6458 or by email at ExecutiveDirector@CoastalConcerts.org.

Please consider providing for Coastal Concerts' future with a significant gift that will enable you to achieve your charitable goals, realize tax benefits, and maximize the impact of your gift.

Thank you for your help in keeping the music playing.
